Message from the Principal

Dear beloved Parents, Teachers, and Students

Welcome back to the Salesian family, and a special welcome to the new teachers, students, and parents who have joined us this year.

As the saying goes, "A good beginning is half the battle." On the first day of school, seeing students enter the campus with high spirits and smiles fills our campus with renewed vitality. I firmly believe that this semester, everyone will be able to dispel the shadows casted by the past three years of pandemic impact and cherish and enjoy each day of campus life. "Opportunity favors the prepared mind!" As long as everyone is well prepared and actively engaged in learning, I believe that each student will make progress and move towards success.

This school year marks the second year of our three year development plan from 2022 to 2025. The school's theme remains " Grow in knowledge, walk with God." We will continue to focus on the diverse learning and growth needs of our students. To achieve these goals, we will employ two different strategies. The first is that students can enhance learning confidence and proactive learning skills through diverse learning experiences and reflection. Teachers will earnestly teach and strive to uncover students' potential, guiding them towards self directed learning and reflection, making students the masters of their own learning. The second strategy is that students can get to know themselves and receive more appropriate support in adolescent development. Through various activities, students can improve their mental well being and abilities to overcome adversities.

As a Catholic school, we believe that religious and spiritual education can nurture virtues in students. "Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it." (Proverbs 22:6) According to the Bible, to train a child to the right path is an obligation of all grown ups. Virtues such as honesty, humility, punctuality, caring, responsibility, gratitude, and a spirit of service are often more important than the pursuit of knowledge and academic excellence. Therefore, parents and educators play a crucial role in guiding the youth in the right direction. We also expect all stakeholders to recognize and practice the five core values of Catholic education: Truth, Justice, Love, Life and Family. Myself and the teachers will implement these core values in our roles and apply them to the work of various subject and departments in the school. We want students to understand the pursuit of "Truth," uphold "Justice," practice "Love," respect "Life," and cherish "Family." Under the nurturing of these five core values of Catholic education, we aim to guide students towards the right path, helping them develop good character and maintain correct values, facing the ups and downs of life with faith and joy, treasuring life, and serving the community.

At the beginning of this school year, let us pray to our Heavenly Father with gratitude, asking Him to continue leading our Salesian teachers and students, granting us wisdom. May we grow in knowledge and character in the new school year, pursue excellence in different fields, and move towards our dreams. May God bless all parents, teachers, and students with good health, and may this new school year be filled with the peace and joy of the Lord!
