1951
- Salesian School became independent at 16 Chai Wan Road. The Secondary Section was added to the School. There were two Classes of Form 1.
1953
- Rev. Fr. A. Perkumas completed his tenure of office and went to Venezuela. Rev. Fr. E. Tiberi succeeded him as the School Rector and Principal of the school. Students increased to over 1000.
1955
- Rector Major Very Rev. Fr. R. Ziggiotti toured the Far East and called on our school.
1956
- Due to the population growth of Hong Kong, the school provided Form 4 and Form 5 places for junior students.
1959
- Our first Form 5 graduates took part in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination and gained distinguished results.
- Rev. Fr. A. Fedrigotti, Vicar General of the Salesian Society, paid a visit to our school. He celebrated a Holy Mass and addressed the school assembly.
- Rev. Fr. G. Py took office as the Prefect of Studies in the Primary Section.
1960
- Construction work of the building for our Secondary Section was completed by the end of 1959. His Excellency Sir Robert Black, the Governor of Hong Kong, was invited to officiate at the opening ceremony on 12th January 1960.
- Our first graduates of the English Section sat for the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination.
- The School Rector, Rev. Fr. Ercole Tiberi, completed his three consecutive terms of office. Fr. Ercole Tiberi inaugurated the expansion of the school to a complete secondary school. He was succeeded by Rev. Fr. Alexander Ma.
