Message from the Principal

Dear beloved Parents, Teachers, and Students,

Welcome back to the Salesian family, and a special welcome to our new teachers, students, and parents who have joined us this year.  I would like to take this opportunity to express my sincere thanks to the parents for their continued support and understanding, as well as their cooperation with the school in teaching and accompanying students in their learning, progress, and growth.

In 2024, the Salesian family commemorates and celebrates the 200th anniversary of a dream that St. John Bosco had when he was 9 years old (1824-2024).  At the age of nine, St. John Bosco had the first, great dream which marked his entire life.  St. John Bosco said that he saw himself surrounded by young boys who were laughing and playing.  When several blasphemed, he pounced on them to hit them and stop them from insulting God.  Suddenly Jesus Christ appeared and told him: “Not with blows, but with gentleness and charity.” The Lord introduced him to his Mother, who showed him that the boys had turned into ferocious animals and then into lambs.  Finally, Virgin Mary, Mother of Jesus Christ told him: “This is the field of your work.  Make yourself humble, strong and energetic.  And what you will see happening to these animals, you must do for my children.”  St. John Bosco’s Dream at Nine Years of age, is the dream that determined his whole life and work.  On the occasion of the 200th anniversary of the Dream at nine years of St. John Bosco, our Pastoral Theme for this year is “The dream that makes you dream”, this encourages our teachers to accompany and support students in realizing their dreams and to help them explore and develop their potential.

Asking “What is your dream?” is one of the most important questions in our lives.  To dream can mean projecting oneself into the future or wishing for something good for oneself or others.  To realize our dreams, we must set our goals.  Goals are important because they provide clarity, motivation, and measurable outcomes.  When you set a goal, you take the first step toward manifesting your vision.  It’s like planting a seed that, with patience, effort, and perseverance, will grow into something tangible and real.  Remember, every significant accomplishment starts with a single goal, and with time and effort, something extraordinary will grow.

At the beginning of this school year, let us pray to our Heavenly Father with gratitude, asking Him to continue leading our Salesian teachers and students, granting us wisdom.  May we grow in knowledge and character in the new school year, pursue excellence in various fields, and move closer to our dreams.  May God bless all parents, teachers, and students with good health, and may this new school year be filled with the peace and joy of the Lord!
