She encouraged students to always trust in God's assistance and reminded them not to forget the companionship of their priests, teachers, and classmates, welcoming them to return to school at any time. 2025-02-26Dream pursuing sharing talkIn line with our school's pastoral theme for this year, "The dream that makes us dream", the Student Union invited artist Mr. Chau Yan Ting to our school to share his experiences in pursuing dreams. 2025-02-22ISS-HK Territory-Wide Flag DayTo introduce students to social welfare and the charity spirit, the Charity Service Team, Counselling Team, and school social workers collaborated to invite 43 students from Form 1 to 5 to participate in the International Social Service Hong Kong Branch Territory-Wide Flag Day 2025. 2025-02-22Guided Tour to Stone Wall Tree in Western DistrictIn this school year, our school has collaborated with the University of Hong Kong to design a programme for Form 3 students centered on the theme of "Centenary Trees". The aim is to encourage students from diverse multicultural backgrounds to understand the relationship between the natural environment, human feelings, and society through reading, field investigations, and creative work. Students will learn to respect different cultures and coexist harmoniously with nature. 2025-02-22Other Learning Experiences: Speech Training Course on Promotion and CommunicationThe Chinese Language Department organized a course titled "Other Learning Experiences: Promotion and Communication" for the Form Four students. Students were required to form groups to conduct promotional activities on designated topics within the school, thereby practicing their communication skills. Public speaking is a vital medium for conveying emotions and ideas, and it is a crucial language competency. 2025-02-17The religious week and Salesian Missionary FestivalThe religious week was organized from 17th to 21st February. The theme of the week was "Listen to the Call of Nature." Events of the week included Wearing Cross, Game Booths at lunch time, Hunger Lunch, Religious Gifts Sales, and a lecture on Catholic perspectives on the environment. 2025-02-15Salesian Youth Environmental DayThe Salesian Environmental Day was organized by the Salesian Youth Ministry Office on 15th February. Around ten Salesian Youth members and teachers went to Precious Blood Spiritual Garden to learn about caring for nature and promote a green campus. 2025-02-12Chinese Lantern FestivalOn the fifteenth day of the first lunar month, which is the Chinese Lantern Festival, the National Security Education Group, together with the Citizenship and Social Development, Citizenship, Economics and Society, Putonghua, Chinese Society, English Society, and Parent-Teacher Association, co-hosted an event. 2025-02-10The Chinese language cultural exhibition "Ingenuity"The cultural exhibition "Ingenuity" focuses on ancient Chinese science and technology and their applications in daily life. This exhibition also collaborated with the STEAM Team to design a series of games, allowing students to learn while having fun and experience the related scientific principles, and to appreciate the traditional wisdom of the Chinese people. 2025-01-22The Sodality Game DayOn 22nd January 2025, our school sodality representatives held The Sodality Game Day at the covered playground, experiencing the fun at Valdocco Youth Centre. The Sodality members competed and cooperated with each other, enchancing teamwork and embodying the spirit of Youth leading Youth in the process. 2025-01-20English Ambassadors PartyOn 20th January, our English ambassadors had a pizza party with NETs and English Corner teachers. This event honored the ambassadors for their valuable contributions during the English Clubhouse lunch sessions and their engagement with peers and teachers. Our NETs, Mr. Sala and Ms. Poppy, also presented the Best Service Award to the ambassadors who have outdone themselves for their service. 2025-01-16Religious ShowIn celebration of the Feast of our Founder, Saint John Bosco, the school organized the "Religious Show" on 16th and 17th January 2025. Students practiced their Bible reading on stage and studied the life of St. John Bosco in the drama competition. 2025-01-15Interactive Theater on IntegrityThe Spiritual, Moral and Civic Education Team, in collaboration with the Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC), organized an interactive theater on integrity for S5 students during the assembly in January. Through the drama, students learned about the importance of integrity and the harms of corruption. 2025-01-13Pop Singing ClassWe are glad to have Mr Bryant Kam (1998, S5), an old boy of our school and a participant in the TV show "Midlife, Sing & Shine! 2", return to his alma mater to teach pop singing skills to ten students from S1 to S5. 2025-01-13Classroom Manner CompetitionIn December, the Spiritual, Moral and Civic Education team held a Classroom Manner Competition for junior form students. On 13th January, Principal To presented certificates and prizes to the winning classes. Even the competition has ended, we hope that students will continue to treat others with courtesy and become humble and polite Salesian boys. 2025-01-11Field trip to the Gin Drinkers LineIn order to let students learn about the history of the Battle of Hong Kong, our school invited Hong Kong military history researcher and author of book "孤獨前哨:再論一九四一年香港戰役", Mr. Choi Yiu-lun, to lead students on a field trip to the Gin Drinkers Line. During the war, Hong Kong's defenders fought with the Japanese army at the Gin Drinkers Line. 2025-01-10Life-wide Learning day (Form 1) - Positive Psychology Campus Promotion DayThe Social Welfare Department organized 10 social service agencies to set up different game booths at our school. Activities included writing positive cards, making sand art bottles, doing sports, FREEJAM, making hand creams, making dried flowers, etc. The aim was to raise awareness about mental health and guide students on how to maintain a positive mindset. 2025-01-10Life-wide Learning day (Form 6) - Let's go bowlingTo help reduce the pressure on students preparing for the DSE, the Extracurricular Activities Committee arranged for the entire Form 6 class to go bowling. The students had a great time and felt physically and mentally relaxed. 2025-01-04Chinese culture and life experience one day tripIn order for students to have a firsthand understanding of the country's latest developments and Chinese culture, they visited Shenzhen Book City, Shenzhen Museum, and shopping malls, which enhanced their appreciation and understanding of Chinese culture and the people's lives in the Shenzhen Special Economic Zone. 2025-01-04Dominic Savio Kindergarten Fun Day serviceOn 4th January, the 17th Hong Kong Island Scout Troop of our school provided community service for the Parent-Child Game Day at Dominic Savio Kindergarten and Dominic Savio Nursery. Through on-site visits to the Lam Tsuen in Tai Po and The Mills in Tsuen Wan, students learned about the development of Hong Kong's economy from "agriculture" to "textile and garment industry".
