Welcoming events for S1

Welcoming events for S1 were organized by the Spiritual, Moral and Civic Education Team. On 21st August, S1 students participated in the Freshman Orientation at the school campus. Students were divided into groups to join an Orienteering Programme and a Training Programme organized by the Counselling Team on 22nd and 26th August respectively.

Visiting PLA Hong Kong Garrison Exhibition Centre

The event, organized by the Hong Kong Basic Law Foundation, included a visit to the PLA Hong Kong Garrison Exhibition Center at Ngong Shuen Chau Barracks, where students learned about China's history, recent developments, and military defense.
Let's go to the Book Fair

On 23 July, over 30 teachers and students visited the Book Fair at the Wan Chai Convention and Exhibition Centre. Each student, supported by the School Library, was invited to help purchase books for the school. Students were able to choose their favorite books to read during the summer holiday, and these books will be available in the school library when the new academic year begins. Teachers and students had a great time purchasing books for their departments and for themselves, and everyone went home with bags full of books.
"Applaud the Basic Law" Speech Competition

In order to enhance students' understanding and support of the Constitution of the People's Republic of China and the Basic Law, students from our school participated in the 2nd "Applaud the Basic Law" Speech Competition. 1A student YANG QI CHENG won a Merit Award in the secondary school Mandarin group.
The 11th Military Summer Camp

Two students from our school participated in a military summer camp, where they received military physical training, attended educational lectures, and visited the exhibition center of the stationed Hong Kong troops. They had a fulfilling time at the military camp.
2024 Inter-school Constitution and Basic Law Quiz

In order to enhance students' understanding of the Constitution of the People's Republic of China and the Basic Law, our school encourages students to participate in the 2024 Inter-school Constitution and Basic Law Quiz and won the "Most Active Participation Award".
STEAM training activity – Programmable drones course

The course uses TELLO EDU programmable drones to teach students how to control drones using programming skills, including flight control and image processing. Students will learn how to write control commands to achieve autonomous flight and mission execution.

STEM FUN DAY is a computer programmed event where students try their hand at operating a hovercraft. From hands-on assembly of the hovercraft to programming, students need to cooperate and understand the operation of the hovercraft in order to win the competition.
English Ambassadors Outing - Movie Watching

To recognize the hard work of our English ambassadors, we organized a movie outing to watch "Inside Out 2" on July 9th with our NET teacher, Mr. Sala. During the movie, the ambassadors had the opportunity to chat with our NET teacher and unwind after their assistance throughout the school year.
Summer Training for Salesian Youth

More than 20 Salesian Sodality members participated in different joint-school training programmes organized by Salesian Youth Ministry Office, including "Salesian Leadership Training Camp - Level I and Level II", "Games Leading Workshop", "Prayers Leading Workshop" and "Action Song Workshop" together with other Salesian Youth to prepare themselves to be the leaders of Salesian Sodalities in the new school year.
Citizenship and Social Development Online Reading Award Scheme 2023/24

The "Citizenship and Social Development Online Reading Award Scheme 2023/24" organized by the Education Bureau and co-organized by the Academy of Chinese Studies, aimed to enhance students' knowledge and broaden their horizons, as well as increase their interest in studying Citizenship and Social Development. 4A student LAM CHUN TO won a merit award in the competition.

The Spiritual, Moral and Civic Education Team held a talent show to let students express their gratitude to parents. Different performances include lion dance, singing, poem reading, diabolo, taekwondo, drama, musical instrument performance, etc.

Elder Academy graduation ceremony

After the graduation ceremony, 45 Form 4 students and the elderlies participated in different collaborative activities to promote intergenerational integration. These activities included ice-breaking games, building Lego together, and listening to the seniors share their unique social experiences in Hong Kong during the 1950s and 60s, allowing students to understand the city's past and learn from the seniors' life experiences.
